In this blog post, I will be writing about the Persian and Greek war. I will pretend to be a Persian Warrior in the battle of Salamis.
I was beginning to be war sick. All the blood, sweat and destruction I had seen. I was tired of all the arrows and spears that had gone through me at one point. My war sick was calming down. As we traveled through the sea, I began thinking of all those innocent kids and people we had killed with no mercy . I began feeling war sick again. Then, the captain of our ship announced ,
“Prepare for battle.”
All on the boat got ready as soon as they heard the announcement. We went on deck an up ahead we could see smaller ships than ours. They were arranged like a wooden wall.
” Turn the ship” Commanded our captain
It was too late. The wooden wall came toward us like a stampede. We heard the sound of crashing and destruction. the war had begun once more. I battled and battled. I could see all my fellow mates being killed with arrows, spears,or being sunk with the ship. I could see how I hurt the Athenians and Spartan warriors by crushing my spear against their chest. Blood pored all over our ships and on my hands.
” Retreat” called the captains of all ships.
We had lost a battle once more. After the war ended, all that was left on those once calm water war blood and wrecked ships.
